About Konkoma

From a Room of Prayer to a Hospital of Healing

Konkoma is a rural farming community near Lake Bosomtwe in Ghana’s Ashanti Region. With over 20,000 residents and 13 neighboring villages depending on it, Konkoma has long been underserved in terms of healthcare. One modest clinic has carried the weight—until now.

"Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

- Matthew 25:40

Our Story

Become the One Who is Considered a Hero

In 1963, a faithful woman named Madam Achiaa opened her home to house a Seventh-day Adventist church. In 1987, the community entrusted their first clinic to the church. With limited space and resources, the clinic continued to serve thousands, but the need far outgrew its capacity.

Today, a new chapter is being written—one of growth, resilience, and transformation. The Konkoma SDA Hospital is under construction to meet the urgent healthcare needs of thousands.
